Construction Career
I began my career in construction in 1984 with my ex-husband. I worked side by side with him, learning construction from the ground up, I was running the construction business, estimating the jobs and ordering all materials as well as scheduling the subcontractors and overseeing the jobs being done.
As a result, I was able to start a remodeling business in 1992 after my divorce. I built the business on honesty and integrity with ninety-eight percent of my business being repeat or referrals. In 2006 I became a certified inspector and then in I moved to PA to survive the economic downturn. Once there I worked with a multi-inspector firm learning the inspection business from some of the best inspectors in PA. I completed NAHI inspector training and completed my internship will becoming a PA-certified radon tester/remediator I have tested homes, PA schools, multi-unit apartments, and retirement facilities.
I then moved back to Florida in 2015 to work with a multi-inspector firm in Manatee County. In 2018 I became a certified thermographer. As a result, I joined Hightide Home Inspections in 2019 taking it over in 2020, Then in July of 2022, As a certified Thermographer, I
added infrared inspections. Infrared inspection help find issues not seen with the naked eye.
